This haven in Andalucia next to a mountain some call the navel of the Earth is a place to relax and be renewed.
The house nestles amongst fig, palm, pomegranate and olive trees. Peace and tranquility abound and the connection with nature is instantly heartfelt.
Just being here, surrounded by mountains in the warmth and light is wonderful. The atmosphere is relaxed and informal.
Visitors will find there is always plenty of time to lounge by the pool in the sun or spend contemplative time alone in a quiet spot. Usually trips out to the beach, a mountain village or Granada are available.
The tasks of cooking and shopping are shared and at night we eat together under the stars.
The days here are often filled with light and happiness.
La Canción del Río (Song of the River) as the property is called is a private house, not a commercial establishment. Accommodation is limited, but comfortable. Every year a small program of events is hosted and outside of these times guests are welcome to visit either on a solo retreat or as a holidaying helper. The house is available both for private rental and for the hosting of small groups. Enquire for details.
